Who we are
Étude is a music school offering one-to-one lessons in person. We decide how the information you give us is used. Write to hello@etude.example with any question about your data.
What we collect
When you request an introductory lesson, we ask for your name and email address as the adult contact; who the lessons are for; their experience, instrument and main goal; a preferred teacher; the times that suit you; and anything else you choose to tell us.
We don’t ask for a child’s name, date of birth, school or medical details. Please leave them out of your message.
Why we use it
Only to reply to your request, arrange the introductory lesson and, if you go ahead, organise lessons. We don’t send marketing emails, and we never sell your details or share them for marketing.
Who sees it
Our office and the teacher who meets you. The form is delivered through our website host and email provider, who handle it on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
How long we keep it
If you don’t start lessons, we delete your request within 12 months. If you do, we keep your contact details while you’re with us and for two years after the last lesson, then delete them.
The learning-path guide
Your answers stay in this browser tab and clear when you close it. If you continue to booking, the four answers travel in the page address so the form can fill itself in. Your name and contact details never do.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Visits are counted with our host’s analytics, which don’t identify you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it. Email hello@etude.example and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
