Biography
Amara trained as a concert pianist before turning to teaching, and has taught for 25 years, the last 12 at Étude. She works with young children, teenagers and adult learners.
She is especially interested in helping adults who stopped as children come back to the instrument, and prepares students for ABRSM and RCM graded exams when they want them.
Teaching approach
Amara builds technique through repertoire students genuinely want to play, with short goals each week.
